While Eddy Kenzo was performing on the main stage at Freedom square during the 87th MUK Freshers’ Ball, gunshot sounds were heard and details regarding it remains scanty.
The development caused stir at the venue as students tried to run for their safety .
It’s alleged that during the fracus, some students sustained injuries and many others lost their property including phones and handbags.
It is not clear where Eddy Kenzo and and other artists who were present at the function when the incident occurred were also affected.
The event which had started in a cheerful mood from the students as they were enjoying the entertainment from various artists such as Hellen Lukoma, Kateleya and Kandle among others mysteriously ended in a sad mood.
Our efforts to get a comment from police hit a dead end as their spokespersons could not pick our repeated phone calls.
