Steven Dunstan Busuulwa, a renowned Ugandan journalist and Chief Operations Officer (COO) at BBS Terefayina, is among the 1,524 graduands celebrated today at Uganda Christian University’s (UCU) 26th Graduation ceremony.

The event, held at the main campus in Mukono starting, saw Busuulwa awarded a Master of Strategic Communication, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.
Busuulwa’s journey in media began at Top Television and Top Radio 89.6 FM, a Born Again-based station in Bwaise, Kampala, owned by Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga.

Over 15 years, he progressed from a news writer and presenter to News Editor and eventually station manager, honing his skills in broadcast journalism.
His calm and professional approach gained him recognition, particularly through hosting political talk shows.
In June 2020, he resigned from Top Media and joined BBS Terefayina, the Buganda Kingdom-owned station, where he took over the popular political talk show ‘Amaaso Ku Ggwanga,’ replacing veteran journalist Peter Kibazo.

At BBS Terefayina, Busuulwa’s talent quickly elevated him to COO, a role where he oversees operations and continues to moderate ‘Amaaso Ku Ggwanga’ every Thursday.
His career also includes stints as a communications officer at Namirembe Diocese Youth Department, alongside earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Ndejje University and a Diploma from the International Institute of Business and Media Studies.

His early passion for journalism was nurtured at St. Balikuddembe Mitala Maria Senior Secondary School, where he edited the school’s news magazine, ‘Voice of Mitala.’
The graduation ceremony, officiated by UCU Chancellor and Archbishop Dr. Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, with Dr. Philip Ryken of Wheaton College as Chief Guest, is livestreamed on the UCU YouTube Channel and Family Television.
Busuulwa’s achievement underscores his dedication to professional growth, complementing his extensive media experience and leadership at BBS Terefayina.
