Uganda’s James Bogere delivered a dream moment, scoring a dramatic late goal to hand AGF all three points and send them to the top of the 3F Superliga.
Introduced late in the match, the El Cambio academy product made an instant impact when he picked up the ball in the final third and drove forward.
“I just tried to attack because there was space, and it ended in a goal,” Bogere said after the game.
The forward went on a solo run before finishing calmly, sparking wild celebrations inside the stadium.
“It’s a dream come true. It felt amazing to score. I completely lost control — it means everything to me, the team, and the city,” he added.
Bogere’s emotions were evident as he removed his shirt and sprinted across the pitch in celebration, overwhelmed by the moment.
“I wanted to run to the coaches, but I just went crazy. It was very emotional. I was just happy,” he said, while also praising the support from teammates and coaches.
“The coaches and players motivate me a lot. Football is a team sport, and I’m happy because we work together.”
After the match, fans continued chanting his name. Bogere responded by applauding them and kissing the club badge.
“I love this club,” he said, capping off a memorable night.
