Police are investigating the sealing off of the Pallisa Chief Administrative Officer’s office by a group of people. Wilfred Kyempasa, the Bukedi North region police spokesperson, says the incident occurred on May 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Pallisa District Headquarters. He says the CAO, Mr. Majeme Alex Felix, had been ordered to vacate his office within 15 days by the Pallisa District Council Committee, which he allegedly ignored.

When the CAO was attending a security meeting, the group sealed his office with timber, denying him access. Police were notified and responded, finding the office sealed and suspects fled, who included Gwatara Robert, Ogogolo Ayub, and Immunat Stephen..The police examined the scene, documented it, and recorded statements. Two suspects were arrested and are being interrogated. The CAO’s office was reopened, and he resumed his duties.

Kyempasa adds that Investigations suggest the suspects are supporters of a Pallisa politician who has a grudge against the CAO due to a 2016 road accident involving the CAO’s wife and the chairman’s brother. The matter is before the Permanent Secretary, and investigations are ongoing. URN
