The Tooro Kingdom is mourning the death of its Information Minister, Sylas Ruhweza Atwooki.Ruhweza passed away in the early hours of Friday at Mildmay Hospital in Kampala, where he had been receiving treatment.
The news of Ruhweza’s death was announced by Ronald Mutegeki, the Deputy Information Minister of Tooro Kingdom. Ruhweza has been the Minister of Information in the Kingdom since 2023. Nicholas Mugume the Youth Minister in Tooro Kingdom, described Ruhweza as a visionary and dedicated young leader whose death is a big loss to the kingdom and the young generation.
“We joined the Tooro Kingdom together straight from university, full of youthful energy and a shared dream of impacting our motherland. It is such a pity for our young generation that we have lost such a talented, cultured, visionary, and dedicated asset of our time. ” Mugume said Victor Kukundakwe, a journalist in Fort Portal City, described Ruhweza as humble and approachable.
“He was a down-to-earth person who was always accessible and would quickly respond to requests for information and updates concerning kingdom activities,” Kukundakwe said. URN
