Police in Kiboga are investigating a suspected murder following a report by Constantine Ndawula, the chairperson of Bukyanga Cell in Kiboga Town Council.

According to Wamala Region Police spokesperson Lameck Kigozi, the deceased has been identified as Henry Lubwama Kisitu, a resident of Kyengera Town Council in Wakiso District.

Kigozi explained that the incident came to light when Robert Kawuki, a resident of the same area, carried the carcass of a family dog to dump it in a nearby bush. On reaching the spot, the boy noticed a strange, strong smell.

Becoming suspicious, he looked more closely and discovered a decomposing human body. Kawuki rushed back home and informed his mother, Juliet Nuwandinda, who returned with him to the bush to verify what he had seen.

Police in Kiboga, led by a senior crime officer, responded to the report and visited the scene. They confirmed that the remains were of a human being.

Kigozi has appealed to residents of both Kiboga and Kyengera who may have worked with or known the deceased to come forward with any relevant information.
