Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has arrived in Uganda to preside over the Graduation Ceremony of Cavendish University (CUU) .
The University will hold a blended 11th Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2022 on Thursday August 25, 2022 at Speke Resort Munyonyo starting 8am.
“We arrived Entebbe International Airport early this morning ahead of the 11th Graduation ceremony of Cavendish University Uganda, (CUU). I thank the Ugandan Gov’t, Vice Chancellor Prof. John Mugish & other CUU officials for the warm reception,” President Goodluck wrote on Twitter.
The event will be held under the theme, “Universities through COVID-19: Strategies for recovering and surpassing Pre-pandemic performance.”
President Goodluck Jonathan is CUU’s Chancellor.
Hon. Dr Justice Flavian Zeija, the Principal Judge of the High Court of Uganda will be the Guest of Honour. Prof. Noah O. Midamba the Former Vice Chancellor Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) University will also speak at the ceremony.
CUU is one of the leading Private Universities in Uganda established in 2008 and is licensed and accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education.
Its student population hails from over 28 countries.
More than 8,000 students have graduated from CUU in many different disciplines at certificate, diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s levels since its inception.
