Prominent entrepreneur Hassan Bassajabalaba has reiterated the importance of the government increasing health equipment in all nationwide health centers, emphasizing its crucial role in enhancing the well-being of Ugandans.

Bassajabalaba believes this initiative will alleviate the overcrowding at Mulago National Referral Hospital, where many fail to receive timely health services.

Additionally, he urged medical professionals to refrain from pilfering drugs intended for patients, emphasizing the strain such actions place on government resources.

“Let’s use the drugs meant for patients be for patients if you steal the drugs then that will strain the government on spending on extra drugs,” he asserted.

Bassajabalaba further stressed the need for healthcare workers to prioritize saving lives over monetary concerns.

Speaking at a fundraising gala in Kansanga central market, Bassajabalaba highlighted the significance of involving women in various business roles and he encouraged women not only to manage household chores but also to participate in retail and wholesale businesses, emphasizing the pursuit of financial independence.

Bassajabalaba cautioned against marginalizing women striving to earn a livelihood, asserting that the business community should be inclusive and not limited to specific groups.

Recognizing the transformative movement towards gender equality in Uganda, he applauded women for defying traditional roles and emerging as influential agents of change.

“The invaluable contributions of women in business have been validated by reputable opinion polls, reinforcing their roles as powerhouses of leadership in Uganda,” noted Bassajabalaba.
