President Yoweri Museveni has gifted Owobusobozi Bisaka the founder of the Faith of Unity Movement a brand new car on his 93rd birthday.
His birthday every June 11 from the Faith’s headquarters located at Kapyeemi village, Muhorro town council, Kagadi district.
Museveni’s gift was on Saturday delivered by Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja who said Museveni is pleased with the Faith for fostering people and unity among the people.
“I today delivered a brand new car gift from President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Owobusobozi Bisaka the founder of the Faith of unity based in Kapyeemi healing Centre-Kagadi District on his 93rd birthday anniversary,” says Nabbanja.
“The President applauds the faith for promoting the NRM, fostering peace, Unity and Development in Uganda and the whole world. Happy Birthday Owobusobozi Bisaka,” added Nabbanja.
Indeed, the Faith of Unity Movement has for years been credited for peace and instilling love among its followers.
In December last year, security teams from Albertine region led by Kagadi RDC Lillian Ruteraho and the Albertine Police spokesperson, Julius Hakiza paid a courtesy call to leaders of the Faith and hailed it for ensuring security in the region.
RDC Ruteraho said as security, they continue working well with the Faith in ensuring total peace and stability and that Owobusobozi Bisaka is always been at the forefront in supporting all government programs including the fight against COVID 19.
She said security aims at strengthening the collaboration with the Faith of Unity leaders.
On his part, ASP Hakiza said that they have never had any problem with the Faith of Unity Movement and that their visit was intended to strengthen their relations.
Bisaka was enrolled at Mugalike Secondary School in 1944, he became interested in priesthood but that this dream never materialised.
Before founding the Faith of Unity in the early 1980s, Bisaka was a teacher at Muhorro Primary School and choir master at Muhorro Catholic Church.
According to his biography, he served as secretary and chairman of the Muhorro catholic Parish Council.
The Faith of Unity movement has followers in countries including Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and South Sudan.
His followers pray on the 2nd, 12th and 22nd days of each month.
