The body of the fallen Speaker of the 11th Parliament Jacob L’Okori Oulanyah has finally returned back to Uganda.
The fallen speaker died from a highly reputable hospital in Seattle ,United States of America (USA) where he was receiving from treatment since early February after a long time illness.
The body of Oulanyah arrived at exactly 13:57 pm aboard the Ethiopian Airlines plane and it was received by top government officials,family members and close friends at the Entebbe International Airport (VIP) section.
While recieving the remains of Oulanya most of the invited guests at the Airport were dressed with the bow tie signature of Oulanya as a sign of love to him.
Oulanyah was welcomed with the “Bwola traditional dance” which was performed by the Patongo Cultural Group in honour of Oulanyah who was considered as a royal from the region.
It was such a heartbreaking ,painful moment as some people couldnt hold their grieve on seeing the casket of the fallen Speaker.
For example the newly elected Speaker of Parliament ,the Rt.Hon Anita Among couldnt hold her grief as she broke down on seeing the casket of her fallen friend.
Thousands of Ugandans lined up along the Old Entebbe route were seen waving at the car that was carrying his casket which signified the kind of respect and love the people had for him.
The body was then transported to the A + Funeral Home in a highly protected convoy from the security forces.
The body will lie at his official him home in Muyenga on Sunday 3 April and Monday 4 April before heading to Parliament on Tuesday 5 April.
Oulanya will be greatly missed by his friends ,family members among other people.
