Nakaseke District Woman MP, Hon Sarah Najjuma, has donated cows and goats to various families in Nakaseke as one way improving their lives.
The beneficiaries came from different subcounties in the district including Timuna and Kasangombe.
With support from Direct Aid Uganda, Najjuma gave out 15 cows and 105 goats. Each family got 7 goats.
“I have dedicated my efforts to help communities here to work and eliminate poverty to zero percent. We can’t afford to continue seeing our people languish in poverty,” Najjuma says.
“It is possible to move all Ugandan households that are in subsistence farming to the money economy if we empowered them,” she adds.
