The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is mourning the death of State Attorney Emmanuel Naguyo, whose body was found at his residence in Nebbi on Monday morning.
ODPP Public Relations Officer Jacquelyn Okui said Naguyo’s body was discovered by a colleague at about 10 am on October 19, 2026, after inquiries were made about his absence from work.
Okui said the news had shocked the ODPP fraternity, describing Naguyo’s death as a loss to the institution. “The Office extends its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends and colleagues during this difficult time,” Okui said.
Naguyo had served as a State Attorney with the ODPP for three years. Okui said his contribution to the institution and the colleagues with whom he worked would be remembered with gratitude.
She added that further information regarding funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.
