Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has selected seasoned Media Consultant Dr. Joel Isabirye to set up its Mega Radio Station.
Isabirye was recently selected as the best evaluated bidder out of 9 bids submitted by media service providers to KCCA (upon its request) for the project to set up and operationalize the KCCA radio station.
KCCA Radio is expected to become a revolutionary mass media communication tool employed by the KCCA to sensitize the public about various activities, events, programs and policies being implemented by the Authority.
Currently, KCCA maintains an integrated communication strategy by disseminating information through various radio, television and online channels in Kampala.
Whereas these programs will continue, KCCA Radio shall serve as a centralized source for news and information about Kampala City as disseminated by the Authority.
Under its new and pragmatic management team, KCCA has broken new ground in reorganizing Kampala City for the betterment of its residents and visitors. KCCA Radio which will be run as a public service channel is expected to support this process with vital, relevant and timely information.
Dr. Isabirye who has been entrusted with this project has enjoyed a flourishing media consulting career, having been involved in the successful development of some of the leading radio and television stations in Uganda.
