The former Speaker of the 10th Parliament of Uganda and First Deputy Prime Minister for East African Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda ,Rebecca Alitwaala Kadaga has laid a foundation stone at Mutukula boarder post in Kyotera District to kick start the construction of a one boarder stop market.

The construction of this market will greatly be useful in trade between Uganda and its neighbour Tanzania.

While flagging off the construction of the market ,Kadaga says ,”Instead of people allover East Africa from Uganda,Burundi ,they can just go to Mutukula to buy goods,”

Kadaga was accompanied by the State minister of Trade ,Harriet Ntabanzi says,”The market which is going to be constructed here will will change a lot in the region,”

Mutukula border post is said to have a population of about 50000 people who will be able to sell their goods at the boarder and also set up auxilliary services like restuarants for the traders.
