The Buckingham Palace announced on Monday that King Charles III has initiated a regular treatment schedule, leading him to postpone public-facing duties based on medical advice.
In a statement released at 6 pm UK time, it was revealed that, following a recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate concern arose. Subsequent diagnostic tests have confirmed the presence of a form of cancer.

Despite the challenging diagnosis, the King expresses gratitude to his medical team for their prompt intervention and he remains optimistic about his treatment and eagerly anticipates a return to full public duty.
Admitted to the London Clinic last week, 75-year-old King Charles III, in an effort to prevent speculation and contribute to global cancer awareness, has chosen to share his diagnosis.
King Charles III ascended to the throne on September 8, 2022, following his mother’s passing, becoming the oldest person to assume the British throne after holding the record for the longest-serving heir apparent and Prince of Wales in British history.
