Buganda Kingdom has appreciated the State Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Hon Kabuye Kyofatogabye, for his financial contribution towards Bulemeezi FC in the tourney’s most recent edition of the Kingdom’s Masaza Cup football tournament.

Kyofatogabye, a born of Nakaseke, contributed Shs32 million to aid and facilitate smooth participation of the team in the Kingdom organized tournament.

“We would like to extend our gratitude for your tremendous support towards the Bulemeezi Football Club for the last Masaza Football tournament 2022,” writes Ronald Mulondo, the Kangaawo Bulemeezi, in an appreciation letter to the Minister.

“Your financial assistance of thirty two million shillings (Shs32,000,000) to the Club Management Committee, motivated the players for a better performance in the tournament,” Kangaawo adds.

The tourney saw Bulemeezi knocked out by Buddu at the Semi Finals.

Apart from engaging activities like to sports to empower the youth, Kyofatogabye who is rumoured to be eyeing representing Nakaseke Central in the next Parliament, is consistent in rooting for the socio-economic transformation of the people in the area.

He recently pressured the Works and Transport Ministry to expedite the construction of Luweero-Butalangu road. The Ministry has since conducted the ground breaking ceremony for the road’s tarmacking.

He had previously intervened in lobbying the Ministry of Works and Transport to consider rehabilitation of some nearly impassable roads in Kito and Kakamulo Subcounties in Nakaseke District including -Kito-Katalekamese road.

Meanwhile, in a separate letter of appreciation, Buganda Kingdom also recognized Namunkekeera Rural Industrial Part for contributing Shs50m towards the team for the same tournament.
