Prof. Nawangwe Barnabas, the Vice Chancellor and Chairperson of Senate at Makerere University Kampala, has approved the rescheduling of the 74th graduation ceremony.

In a letter dated December 15, Prof. Nawangwe highlighted that, after consultations with key stakeholders, they have collectively agreed to move the graduation ceremony to Monday, January 29, to Friday, February 2.

Originally slated for January 22 to 26, 2024, the University Senate made this decision to allow students additional time to settle outstanding fees.

The week-long ceremony will witness the conferral of degrees upon more than 10,000 students from various disciplines.
