Despite Recent Fallout, Cindy and Omega 256’s ‘See You Tonight’ Wins Song of the Year 2025 in Latest Market Intellgence Group Survey
Results from the latest round of the Uganda National Media Survey (UNMS) report soon to be released reveal that Cindy Sanyu and Omega 256’s ‘See You Tonight’ was the song of the year of 2025 as listed by Ugandans ffrom all the 146 districts in the country.
The Survey carried out by the reputable Market Intelligence Group (MIG) over the first half of 2026 measured audience consumption of radio, television, print and digital media.
“We identified a number of variables that reflect how the public consumes media. Since we all know that popular music is a form of mass media, many stakeholders were interested in understanding what were the highlights in that space for the year 2025. The report gives these indicators,” Dr. Joel Isabirye, Principal Investigator of the Survey told this newspaper.
‘See You Tonight’ was written by Mozy Wryta and produced by Producer Ope Beatz. In recent months, the two artistes: Cindy and Omega 256 have reportedly fallen out, with conflicting claims of ownership of the song.
The Uganda National Media Survey (UNMS) will present the ranking of radio stations in each sub-region, television stations, newspapers and digital platforms across the country.
