President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni expressed gratitude to the National Organizing Committee (NOC) for their effective coordination of the recently concluded Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G-77 +China Summits in Uganda. “I extend my thanks to Nakyobe, her team, and the exceptional supervisor Nakadama, Nabbanja, and all involved. Your efforts are truly appreciated,” stated President Museveni during a gathering at State House Entebbe on January 31.

Lucy Nakyobe, the Head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet, led the NOC.

President Museveni attributed the success of the summits to both divine blessings and the principles of “VIPP” – Vision, Ideology, Patriotism, and Prioritization, emphasizing the NRM’s commitment to inclusivity and rejecting sectarianism based on religion, tribe, or race.

Encouraging the committee and Ugandans to leverage the summit’s benefits for national development, President Museveni emphasized the ongoing South-to-South investments and urged aligning with existing opportunities.

Rt.Hon. Rukia Nakadama, the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, affirmed the commitment of leaders to continuous improvement, ensuring Uganda’s role as an inspiration for successful international gatherings. She encouraged reflection on accomplishments, learning from experiences, and strengthening resolve for future endeavors.
