The police have arrested one suspect allegedly linked to the shooting of a businessman in Pader Town Council. Boniface Moro, a 32-year-old automotive spare parts dealer in Lagwai Cell, Lagwai Ward, sustained gunshot wounds in both arms during an attack by unidentified assailants on Sunday night.

Milton Odongo, the Pader Resident District Commissioner, reported that two gunmen forcefully entered Moro’s shop and demanded money from his sales. However, upon his assertion that the money had been banked, they shot at him.

Subsequently, one of the assailants seized Moro’s bag, containing a laptop, ATM card, National ID, and Shillings 26,000 in cash. Upon receiving the information, police swiftly responded, rushing the victim to a local health center for medical attention before transferring him to Kitgum General Hospital.

According to Odongo, preliminary investigations led to the arrest of Clip Atare, another spare parts dealer operating in the same vicinity. The arrest was based on intelligence gathered from various sources.
