President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni held discussions with the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Mr. Karim A. A. Khan KC, on February 24, at the State Lodge, Nakasero.
Among the topics discussed was Uganda’s significant role as a respected member state of the ICC. Mr. Khan commended the Ugandan government for its pivotal role in ending the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) insurgency in Northern Uganda and its cooperation with the ICC in prosecuting war criminals.
“I appreciate sharing insights into the region’s history and your profound understanding. This meeting has been highly productive, and I look forward to future engagements in Uganda,” stated Mr. Khan.
