President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been awarded the Social and Economic Commitment Award by the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM) in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian efforts.
The award was presented to President Museveni by Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja at State House Entebbe. Last week, Rt. Hon. Nabbanja accepted the award on behalf of the President during the ECAM summit held in Rome, Italy.
She highlighted President Museveni’s significant contributions to humanitarian causes, particularly in refugee support and healthcare. “European countries recognize President Museveni’s dedication to Uganda’s development, and we are proud to have him as our leader,” she remarked.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this acknowledgment underscores Uganda’s progress under President Museveni’s leadership. She also emphasized the importance of the summit, which focused on developmental initiatives in Africa, positioning the continent as a key player in global growth.
The two-day summit revolved around the theme: “Creating a better present and building a better future together for Africa.”
