On Wednesday, H.E. Malik Agar, Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan, led a delegation to State House, Entebbe, where they met with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. The purpose of their meeting was to deliver a special message from H.E. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan, to President Museveni.

During the meeting, President Museveni reiterated his call for a cessation of hostilities in Sudan, emphasizing the importance of peaceful elections and the empowerment of Sudanese citizens to elect their leaders democratically. He urged all parties involved in the conflict to engage in dialogue to identify and address the root causes of the crisis, emphasizing that a united effort is essential for achieving lasting peace in the country.

The two leaders discussed a proposed framework for resolving the crisis in Sudan, highlighting the importance of creating conditions conducive to peace and stability. H.E. Malik conveyed H.E. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan’s willingness to participate in the peace process, provided that it serves the best interests of the Sudanese people.
