Brig Gen. David Mugisha, Commander of the Special Forces Command (CSFC), expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the SFC and other security agencies for their exceptional efforts in ensuring the successful hosting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G-77+China summits in Uganda.

In his address to SFC soldiers at Sera Kasenyi Training School, Brig. Gen. Mugisha acknowledged the significant role played by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in steering the forces and transforming the UPDF into a professional and capable army.

Brig. Gen. Mugisha hosted a party for the soldiers who tirelessly secured guests from January 12 to 28, commending their dedication to duty.

He highlighted the pride the country takes in its security forces for successfully managing 130 Heads of delegation, including 16 Heads of State, 9 Vice Presidents, 16 Prime Ministers, and seven special categories comprising 1189 delegates.

The Commander specifically praised Brig Gen. Charity Bainababo, Deputy Commander of SFC and Chairperson of the NAM/G-77 steering committee, for her meticulous planning. He extended appreciation to various Directors and Commanders who played crucial roles in different aspects of the operation.

Brig. Gen. Mugisha emphasized the collaborative efforts of multiple security agencies, acknowledging that the success of the summits was a result of the combined strengths of SFC, 1st Infantry Division in Kakiri, Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence, Internal Security Organisation, Military Police, among others.

Highlighting three key drivers of success—solidarity, teamwork, and hard work—Brig. Gen. Mugisha urged the troops to maintain their professionalism and resilience. He disclosed that the Commander in Chief would host a celebration at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds for all participating security organizations at an appropriate time.

On behalf of Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, CSFC extended congratulations to the forces, dedicating the success to the entire members of the UPDF. The function was attended by Directors, Commandants, Commanding officers, senior and junior officers, and militants from SFC.
