SP Kananura Michael, the spokesperson for Traffic and Road Safety, appeals to the public for patience during the upcoming summits from January 15 to 23.

The Traffic Directorate plans diversions at Serena–Kigo, Mutungo–Kitiko, and Busabala traffic lights, including security checkpoints at Munyonyo roundabout.

In these changes, Motorists may face diversions at various points, such as Mpala, Kisubi, and Kajjansi flyover, with traffic redirected to Salaama Road, Nakawuka Road, and Lubowa – Zana, respectively.

At Northern Bypass, Busega flyover and a slip road will divert traffic, restricting access to the Kampala-Entebbe Expressway.

Additional diversions are planned at Sentema, Nansana, Bwaise, Kalerwe, Kyebando, and Kisaasi interchange.

At Bwaise flyover, traffic will be redirected to Sir Apollo Kagwa road, with traffic police regulating flow at junctions.

Boda boda access along the summit route (Entebbe Airport to Speke Resort Munyonyo) is restricted, and stages near hotels hosting heads of states will be relocated.

Travelers with flights from Entebbe International Airport are advised to plan journeys to avoid inconveniences.

Motorists approaching Munyonyo from Gaba road will be diverted at UCB Road to Buziga – Lukuli and Compliance with traffic directives is urged for a smooth summit period.
