Rachel Kawala, the spokesperson for Wamala Regional Police, disclosed that Crime Intelligence operatives have arrested two suspects linked to the double murders in Kasega parish, Kapeke sub-county, Kiboga district on April 4.

Kawala reported that Sulaiman Sentongo, a witch doctor, was tracked via phone and apprehended in Kireka, Kampala, on the night of April 5, alongside his accomplice Namuleme Maureen, who allegedly aided him in escaping the scene on April 4.

Identified as Sulaiman Sentongo, 32, residing in Kirinda village, Kasega parish, Kapeke sub-county, Kiboga district, and Namuleme Maureen, 41, residing in Kisingiri cell, Namiremebe Bakuli ward, Rubaga division, Kampala, the suspects are now in custody.

Initial investigations indicate that on April 3, at 10:00 PM, two children, Nantongo Sylvia, 5, and Nakasumba Esther, 2, were reported missing. Tragically, their bodies were discovered on April 4 in Kirinda village, leading authorities to the residence of witch doctor Sulaiman Sentongo.

The police stated that the suspects are currently held at Kiboga CPS for questioning, marking a total of three arrests in the case. Further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
