The West Nile Region Football Association has unanimously endorsed Hon. Moses Hassim Magogo as the sole candidate for FUFA President for another term in office.
The decision was announced as part of the region’s preparations for the upcoming FUFA elections.
In addition to the endorsement, the association nominated six national delegates unopposed to represent the region.
The delegates are: Ariga Rasoul Ibrahim, Gerimia Joan (Women’s Representative), Bondo Muzamil, Andrew Onwang, Letti Mike, and Ade Fredrick Isaac (Regional Clubs).
The unopposed nominations and the strong backing of Hon. Magogo, a prominent figure in Ugandan football, signal West Nile’s unified stance ahead of the FUFA elections.
Hon. Magogo, who has served as FUFA President since 2013, is widely recognized for his contributions to the development of football in Uganda.
The FUFA elections, set to take place later this year, will see delegates from across the country vote for the next leadership of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations.
West Nile’s decisive move is expected to influence other regions as the election draws closer.
