Police in Kween district are holding a man accused of killing his wife and son. Fredmark Chesang, the Sipi region police spokesperson only identifies the suspect as Chesuro, a resident of Branch Trading Center, Binyiny Town Council in Kween district.
According to Chesang, the suspect hit his wife Sophie Cheboriot with a stool to death before shooting his son only identified as Elijah using an arrow. He explains that after committing the gruesome act between the night of Monday and Tuesday, the suspect was nabbed by locals who later alerted the Police leading to his arrest.
Chesang says the bodies of the deceased are currently at Kapchorwa Hospital Mortuary pending a postmortem, as the investigations are underway. Denis Moloki, the chairperson of Branch cell, Binyiny town council, where the incident occurred, recounted that the same family had been at peace, and never reported any complaints of domestic violence to his office.
“Maybe they had their hidden sour domestic affairs which the office of the Local Council 1 wasn’t aware of and, shockingly, the suspect is even disabled” states Moloki. A related incident occurred on November 21st, 2023, in Kapchorwa district where a man knifed his wife at a drinking joint following a quarrel, however she survived with horrible Injuries.
