Moses Kalangwa, the NRM Chairman for Kayunga District, has died following a fatal road accident along the Kayunga–Jinja Road.

Confirming the news, Minister Balaam Barugahara described Kalangwa as a close friend, loyal patriot, and committed supporter of the ruling NRM party.

“It is with deep sorrow that I regret to announce the sudden death of my friend, Chairman NRM Kayunga District, farmer, and businessman Mr. Kalangwa, who has been involved in a fatal accident along the Kayunga–Jinja Road,” Balaam said in a post on X.

The cause of the accident, exact location and other related details remain scanty.

Barugahara says Kalangwa will be remembered for hosting birthday celebrations for Muhoozi Kainerugaba in Kayunga on the same day he graduated from Kampala University.

“Thank you, Mr. Kalangwa, for your love, dedication, and unwavering support for NRM and H.E. President Yoweri Museveni. Your contribution and friendship will always be remembered,” Balaam stated.

Kalangwa was widely known in Kayunga as a businessman, farmer, and influential mobilizer within NRM structures.
