The KCCA City Hall Magistrates Court has remanded 22-year-old Marvin Webisa to Luzira Maximum Prison over charges of rape, aggravated robbery, and murder of socialite and TikTok personality Diana Namulinde.
Webisa was brought back to court on Tuesday under tight security by Uganda Prisons, as the court sought updates on investigations into the charges against him.

Prosecutors allege that Webisa, a security guard with Gibeon Security Systems and resident of Kiwatule Zone, Nakawa Division, along with accomplices still at large, unlawfully had sexual intercourse with Namulinde without her consent on February 4, 2026, at Kyanja Kwata Zone in Kampala.
They further allege that the suspects murdered her with malice aforethought and stole personal items, including two smartphones, a laptop bag, numerous handbags and clothing items, and other valuables worth approximately UGX 18.6 million.
The 24-year-old Namulinde was buried last month in Namayumba Sub-County, Kyampisi, Wakiso District. Her death is among a disturbing trend of violent killings of women in Uganda, including that of Uganda Christian University Dean of Studies, Pamela.
In a related case before the same court, Prosecutor Yamangusho reported that investigations into the death of 43-year-old Cissy Kebirungi, allegedly at the hands of gynecologist Dr. Martin Adupet, are also ongoing.
Records indicate that Kebirungi, the doctor’s former girlfriend, visited Palm Hotel in Komamboga with Adupet after drinking heavily on an empty stomach.
She was later found unresponsive in a hotel room. According to court documents, Adupet attempted to revive Kebirungi and transported her body with hotel staff to the police.
The City Police initially declined to take the body, which was eventually sent to the City Mortuary. Adupet was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.
Like Webisa, Adupet is expected back in court on March 19, 2026, for proceedings on capital offenses, which carry the death penalty if convicted. He is represented by lawyers Anthony Odelle and Denis Osoto.
His relatives appeared in court seeking temporary freedom, but City Hall Magistrates Court lacks jurisdiction to grant bail in murder cases; only the High Court can do so.
