The Police in Kasese District have exhumed two bodies in Kasulenge, Kamughobe I Village Kisinga Sub-county.
The exhumation followed the arrest of Jackson Muhindo a self-styled witch doctor who was accused of having a hand in the death of Mary Biira Shamimu, the wife, and his brother Kabutusi Muhunga.
The suspect had secretly buried the bodies near his home. Police led by the Director of Health Services Uganda Police, Dr. Moses Byaruhanga took the bodies for a postmortem before they were handed over to relatives for burial.
Dr. Muhindo said the evidence gathered during the exercise brought the suspect to the scene of the crime.
The LCIII Chairperson for Kisinga sub-county Julius Mukeri said there are reports that Kasulenge killed his wife as a result of domestic violence and then turned to his brother whom he accused of having an affair with Biira.
Rujumba Mulwahali, the biological father to Biira said it was a shock to learn of his daughter’s tragic death and called for justice.
