Fred Enanga, the spokesperson for Uganda Police, urges individuals with information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in the alleged attempted murder of Pastor Aloysius Bujingo last week to contact their special team at CID headquarters in Kibuli.

Enanga emphasizes the significance of obtaining details about the weapon used, connecting it to the murder of Vlogger Isma Olaxes in Kyanja last year.

In light of this connection, the police have announced a cash prize of 20 million shillings for anyone providing comprehensive information.

Due to the proliferation of conflicting information on social media, Enanga announces that the special investigations division of CID in Kibuli will now oversee and manage the investigation, given the sensitivity of the matter.

“In response to misleading statements by bloggers, we want to assure the public that a competent team is diligently investigating this matter,” Enanga states, acknowledging the impact on families who have lost loved ones in similar tragic incidents.

The police assure the public of a thorough investigation and promise to release a comprehensive and informative report in due course.

On January 2, the nation was shocked by news of an attempted murder, with City Pastor Aloysius Bujingo and his bodyguard Richard Muhumuza both targeted in a shooting incident.
